Who we are

DispatchDrills (dispatchdrills.com) is an independent practice platform for candidates preparing for 911 dispatcher and public-safety telecommunicator hiring assessments. We are responsible for the personal information described in this policy. You can contact us at any time via our contact page.

What data we collect and why

Account registration

When you create an account we collect your email address. We use this to log you in, send your purchase confirmation, and provide customer support.

Practice results

When you complete a practice module we record your score and session data so your results appear in your dashboard. This data is linked to your account and is never shared with employers, hiring agencies, assessment vendors, or any other third party.

Contact form

If you use our contact form we collect your name, email address, and message. We use this solely to respond to your inquiry.

Payment

Payments are processed by Stripe. We do not see or store your card number, expiry date, or CVV. Stripe handles all payment data under their own privacy policy. We receive confirmation that a payment was made and your email address to activate your access.

Analytics and advertising

We use Google Analytics 4 and Google Ads to understand how visitors find and use the site, and to measure the effectiveness of our advertising. These services set cookies in your browser and process data on Google's servers in the United States. We also use Vercel Analytics (cookieless, no personal data). You can opt out — see our Cookie Policy.

How long we keep your data

Account data (email address and practice results) is kept for as long as your account is active. If you request deletion we will remove your personal information within 30 days. Contact form messages are kept for up to 12 months, then deleted. Payment records are retained for as long as applicable US tax and financial recordkeeping rules require.

Who we share your data with

We only share data with the services necessary to run the platform:

  • Neon — Postgres database provider.
  • Stripe — payment processing.
  • Vercel — website hosting and edge network.
  • Google — analytics and advertising.
  • Email provider (Resend) — used to send transactional emails such as purchase confirmations.

We do not sell your personal information for money. We do not share your practice results with any public-safety agency, assessment vendor, or employer.

Your rights

We extend the following choices to every user, wherever you live:

  • Access — request a copy of the personal information we hold about you.
  • Correction — ask us to fix information that is inaccurate.
  • Deletion — ask us to delete your account and personal information.
  • Portability — receive your data in a machine-readable format.
  • Opt out of tracking — decline analytics and advertising cookies at any time.

To exercise any of these, please contact us. We will respond within 45 days. We will not deny you service, charge you a different price, or give you a lower quality of service for exercising any of these rights.

California residents

If you are a California resident, the California Consumer Privacy Act as amended by the CPRA gives you the rights listed above on a statutory footing, plus the right to know the categories of personal information we collect and the purposes we collect them for — both of which are set out in full on this page.

The categories we collect are: identifiers (your email address), commercial information (your purchase record), internet activity (pages viewed and practice sessions completed), and inferences drawn from your practice scores to show you your own progress. We do not collect sensitive personal information, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 16.

We do not sell personal information for money. Our advertising cookies may count as "sharing" for cross-context behavioral advertising; you can opt out through our Cookie Policy. You may use an authorized agent to submit a request on your behalf.

Cookies

For full details of the cookies we use and how to manage them, please see our Cookie Policy.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page will always reflect the most recent version. Significant changes will be notified to registered users by email.
